Western University of Health Sciences seeks a part-time Laboratory Support role within the College of Optometry in Pomona, CA. You will assist students in accessing ophthalmic labs, monitor equipment usage, and support lab resources and protocols under faculty supervision.

The position requires enrollment in the College of Optometry in good standing and eligibility for Federal Work Study. Duties include equipment check-out, sign-in procedures, and acting as mock patients during practice

Competenze

• Student must be enrolled in the College of Optometry in good academic standing.
• Must meet Federal Work Study (FWS) qualifications: U.S. citizen or permanent resident; must have completed FAFSA; must have remaining unmet financial aid; in good academic standing at Western University of Health Sciences.

• Open and close laboratory spaces to provide student access and monitor schedules.
• Monitor student use of equipment and ensure safe operation and protocol adherence.
• Assist students with equipment check-out, computer logins, and proper lab resource use.
• Serve as mock patients for student practice sessions when not assigned to monitoring duties.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and access to materials; troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
