Optometry Care, located inside the Exchange at Nellis Air Force Base, seeks a detail-oriented Front Desk/Optometric Assistant to join a small, dedicated team. This long-term role offers growth opportunities and base access can be arranged for selected candidates.

Responsibilities include scheduling, insurance verification, pre-testing, patient history collection, and assisting with eye exams and diagnostic testing while maintaining a patient-first environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of optometry experience.
• Comfortable using optometric equipment and exam software.
• Strong communication skills and patient-care mindset.
• Organized, reliable, and a team player.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and verify insurance.
• Perform pre-testing and gather patient history.
• Assist the doctor with eye exams and diagnostic testing.
• Train patients on contact lens handling and care.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Support smooth patient flow throughout the day.
