Job summary

High Point University's School of Optometry is seeking a group of optometric faculty members with diverse specialties to educate the next generation of optometrists. Qualifications

• Education: earned doctoral level degree (O.D., Ph.D., or equivalent).
• Experience: minimum of three years clinical experience or completion of residency.
• Academic experience desirable as instructor or researcher.
• Strong foundation in optometric care and subspecialties.
• Ability to engage and inspire students; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction in optometry courses with lectures, labs, and supervision.
• Develop and maintain a research program contributing to optometric knowledge.
• Engage in service activities within the School and university.
• Advise and mentor students in academic, research, and clinical roles.
