Job summary

Family HealthCare Network is seeking an Optometry Assistant – Back Office to support the optometrist with clinical and administrative duties during patient visits.

You will manage patient flow, scrub appointments, schedule visits, obtain vitals, review records, and assist with dispensary-related tasks. The role requires strong communication and computer skills and at least two years in Optometry or Ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• Two years of Optometry or Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required with acceptable GPA/education details.
• Trade school certificate or equivalent healthcare credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports and monitors back office patient flow and schedules appointments.
• Reviews patient records and updates clinical information and medications.
• Obtains vital signs and assists in vision tests.
• Performs front-office crossover tasks and aids in dispensary-related duties.
• Maintains documentation in the EHR and inventory for exam rooms.
