Job summary

Adventure Dental & Vision in Wichita, KS is seeking an Optometrist to provide preventive and restorative eye care, diagnose vision-related issues, and guide staff in patient treatment.

This part-time role is 1-2 days per week and/or Saturdays or PRN, with a pay range of $140K-$165K per year prorated. The candidate will examine patients, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality vision care.

Qualifications

• Licensed optometrist in good standing.
• Strong interest in working with children.
• Ability to obtain Medicaid Provider number and NPI.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle a diverse workload.

• Examine patients, diagnose diseases, and effectively treat and perform all necessary procedures.
• Provide comprehensive professional vision treatment plans to help achieve optimal vision health.
• Build a community within the practice that fosters teammate satisfaction and retention.
• Arrange for referral to vision specialists when appropriate.
• Prepare a doctor case file including medical history and patient education on eye health.

Adventure Dental & Vision in Wichita, KS, is currently seeking an Optometrist to provide preventive and restorative eye care for all patients, diagnosing and treating vision-related symptoms, as well as instructing staff on how to assist in patient treatment. This position will report to the Vice President of Optometric Services.

This is a part-time opportunity for 1-2 days per week, and/or Saturdays, and/or PRN.

Pay range: $140K-$165K/yr prorated

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and service by responding promptly to patient, caregiver, and team needs
• Examine patients, diagnose diseases, and effectively treat and perform all necessary procedures
• Provide comprehensive professional vision treatment plans to help them achieve optimal vision health, using accepted clinical and diagnostic techniques
• Build a community within the practice that fosters teammate satisfaction and retention by developing strategies to achieve organizational goals, being available to staff, accepting feedback from others, developing subordinates’ skills, and encouraging growth
• Arrange for referral to vision specialists when appropriate
• Prepare a doctor case file including medical history, informing patients on general care and health of eyes at regular time intervals, and staying informed on the latest vision treatment techniques
