Job summary

Adventure Dental & Vision in Topeka, KS, is seeking an Optometrist for a part-time schedule (1–2 days per week, Saturdays, and/or PRN) in Topeka and/or Kansas City, KS. Pay range is $140K-$165K per year, prorated based on hours worked.

The role reports to the Vice President of Optometric Services and requires an active optometry license in good standing, with a strong interest in pediatric care and the ability to obtain Medicaid and NPI numbers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and service by responding promptly to patient, caregiver, and team needs.
• Examine patients, diagnose diseases, and effectively treat and perform all necessary procedures.
• Provide comprehensive professional vision treatment plans to help achieve optimal vision health using accepted clinical and diagnostic techniques.
• Build a community within the practice that fosters teammate satisfaction and retention by developing strategies to achieve organizational goals, being available to staff, accepting feedback, developing subordinates’ skills, and encouraging growth.
• Arrange for referral to vision specialists when appropriate.
• Prepare a doctor case file including medical history, informing patients on general eye care and health at regular intervals, and staying informed on the latest vision treatment techniques.

Job description

Adventure Dental & Vision in Topeka, KS, is currently seeking an Optometrist to provide preventive and restorative eye care for all patients, diagnosing and treating vision-related symptoms, as well as instructing staff on how to assist in patient treatment. This position will report to the Vice President of Optometric Services.
This is a part-time opportunity for 1-2 days per week, and/or Saturdays, and/or PRN, in Topeka and/or Kansas City, KS.
Pay range: $140K-$165K/yr prorated
