Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to work part time or full-time (2-5 days per week) across Flint/Saginaw, MI and surrounding areas. Mileage reimbursement and a $10k sign-on bonus are available at 5 days per week, prorated for part-time. You can earn $700+ per day under a production-based pay structure.

Benefits start day 1 for full-time, with full malpractice coverage and on-site equipment provided. The Optometrist will deliver general optometry services to residents in nursing facilities,

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) degree required.
• State professional license required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the visual system and eye.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in the EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
