Job summary

Surgery Partners in Texas is seeking an Optometrist/Center Director to diagnose, manage, and treat eye conditions, and to work closely with Ophthalmologists as part of a coordinated team. The role includes leading the Center Director responsibilities and strengthening relationships with area eye care providers to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The position emphasizes clinical excellence, collaboration, and practice growth within a trusted medical and surgical eye care organization.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Optometry; NBEO certification and Texas licensure required.
• Completion of degree(s) from an accredited institution.
• Preference for refractive fellowship training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment and standard diagnostic interpretation.
• Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and disorders.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate for ocular conditions.
• Provide pre-and post-operative eye care and coordinate with surgeons.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians and other eye care providers.
• Lead center operations and outreach to strengthen referral networks.
