Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams.
• Establish long term patient relationships through care and education.
• Perform verbal interview to determine health and ocular history.
• Instruct patients on remediation options and guide to treatments.
• Generate patient loyalty and promote Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery.
• Educate patients on eye health and lens wear/maintenance.
• Communicate recommendations to opticians and sales staff.
