Qualifications

• DDS/OD level education required.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and diagnose sight problems.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Perform verbal interviews to assess health and ocular history.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications; advise on treatments.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care where applicable.
• Promote eye health and educate patients about lens options.
