Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group seeks a Doctor of Optometry to perform comprehensive eye exams, assess ocular and systemic health, and educate patients on eyecare options. The optometrist will strive to practice at full license capacity and support practice growth through patient relationships.

You will conduct interviews to determine health history, diagnose common sight problems, prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications, and participate in pre/postoperative care when needed while promoting eye

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited program.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and eye care evaluations.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Take patient health and ocular history via pre-exam interview.
• Advise patients on options for remediation and discuss care with staff recap.
• Generate patient loyalty and promote Optometry and Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose refractive errors and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications.
• Recommend treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehab.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery.
• Evaluate diseases like diabetes and refer to providers as needed.
• Counsel eye health, lens care, and examination frequency.
• Communicate recommendations to opticians and sales staff about lenses.
