Job summary

Join Acuity Eyecare Group in Lincoln, Nebraska as an Optometrist. You will perform eye exams, educate patients, and build long-term relationships while maximizing the scope of your license.

You will conduct patient interviews, discuss remediation options for ametropias and ocular conditions, provide pre- and postoperative care when needed, and promote eye health through counseling and precise lens prescriptions using the latest coatings and designs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited program.
• State board certification/licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through thorough care and education.
• Conduct verbal interviews to assess health and ocular history.
• Instruct and advise patients on remediation options for refractive errors and ocular conditions.
• Generate patient loyalty and promote the group values.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Recommend treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehab.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery patients.
• Evaluate patients for systemic diseases and refer when needed.
• Counsel patients on eye health and lens care.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to opticians and staff for best lens options.
