Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Optometrist at Birmingham Vision Care located in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting eye exams, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses. The role involves diagnosing and treating various eye conditions and diseases, and making recommendations for specialties as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Excellent clinical skills in conducting eye exams and diagnosing eye conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients - this is a must!
• Some knowledge of diagnosing binocular dysfunction for vision therapy and experience in prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
• Knowledge of contact lenses, especially multifocal lenses
• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and valid state license to practice optometry
• Passion for learning and adapting to innovative procedures such as ocular aesthetics, myopia management, IPL/RF, photobiomodulation, nutritional testing, etc.
