The Eye Doctors in Lawrence, KS is seeking an EyeCare Partners-trained Medical Assistant (Optometric Technician) to assist with preliminary testing, manage patient flow, verify insurances, and support doctors in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong customer service. Candidates should be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and support the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances and communicate with patients and staff.
• Assist with front-office duties and scheduling as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain HIPAA compliance.
