Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is hiring an Optometric Technician to support doctors with pre-testing, testing, and patient education. You will help manage appointments, conduct preliminary exams, and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR system while upholding HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities include scheduling referrals, handling CPT-related paperwork, and assisting with contact lens fitting and inventory. On-site position in Ballwin, MO with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification: CPO/CPOA/CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations and assist with specialty testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule and patient flow.
• Document findings in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Schedule referrals and complete related paperwork.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal and inventory.
• Provide scribe support or assist with refractions as needed.
