Role Overview

The optometric technician helps maintain efficient patient flow, assists the optometrist with pre-screenings and tests, and ensures high-quality patient care. No optical experience or certification required; training provided!

Responsibilities

1. Ensure high-quality patient care.
2. Maintain a professional environment.
3. Understand ocular terminology and diseases.
4. Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
5. Complete paperwork and testing before doctor examinations.
6. Promote visual field and retinal screenings.
7. Perform exam pre-screening.
8. Review prescriptions and patient info, consult when needed.
9. Maintain equipment properly.
