Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to support eye exams and pre-testing in a fast-paced store setting. You will assist Optometrists, handle data collection, and train peers in insertion/removal techniques for contact lenses.
You will maintain records, ensure privacy compliance, and collaborate with doctors, optical staff, and patients to deliver a smooth exam flow in a retail environment.
We're searching for all-around amazing Optometric Technicians to work hand in hand with our Optometrists to give each eye exam patient a stellar experience in our stores. You'll help manage a high volume of patients, complete pre-testing, support with new contact lens insertion and removal training, deliver video assisted eye exams (where applicable), collect critical data, and generally keep our eye exam operations running extra smoothly. For applicable postings, the range listed is a good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation is thoughtfully determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and relevant market data.
For applicable postings, non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay if you are required to work more than 40 hours in a workweek.
1 WA only: Full-Time employees’ paid sick leave is accrued at a rate of 1 hour per every 26 hours worked. Full-time employees receive 5 paid holidays and 5-10 vacation days per year (after waiting period, depending on tenure and hours worked). 2 WA PT only: Paid sick leave (accrued at a rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked).
