Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense glasses and contacts, based on optometrist prescriptions. The role emphasizes a Total Patient Experience to maximize retail outcomes while addressing medical needs.

You will measure, fit, and dispense eyewear, educate patients on lenses and coatings, and process orders with accuracy while maintaining organized, compliant work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the Total Patient Experience to build relationships and provide medical support.
• Determine patients' needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist with frame selection and measurements for prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames for patient needs.
• Maintain accurate measurements and dispense orders in system.
