Eye Care Group of Southern Oregon in Grants Pass is seeking an Optometric Technician I to support optometrists, perform diagnostic tests, and help create a seamless patient experience from check-in to post-exam follow-up.

You’ll work with a skilled team, gain hands-on clinical skills, receive comprehensive training, and enjoy a collaborative, patient‑focused environment that values growth, reliability, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience; optometric experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to educate and connect with patients.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced env.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and improve.
• Detail-focused with accurate documentation of patient exams and procedures.
• Flexible to accommodate changing schedules and proactive toward team success.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists with patient care from pre-screening to post-exam follow-up.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and gather patient medical histories.
• Educate patients about vision benefits and contact lens training.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and office communications to ensure smooth flow.
• Collaborate with the team to meet goals for patient care and satisfaction.
