Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Concord, NC seeks an Optometric Technician to assist in testing patients and preparing them for exams with an optometrist.

This role supports the Total Patient Experience, adheres to HIPAA, and handles equipment like lensometers and autorefractors while ensuring a friendly, efficient clinic environment.

Prior ophthalmic or medical office exposure is preferred; a minimum of 1 year of patient interaction is required; reliability and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies and procedures.
• Operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT.
• Follow scripting for testing equipment and maintain calibration of devices.
• Perform general office duties and assist in maintaining a clean environment.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused work atmosphere and reliable scheduling.
