Job summary

Eyecarecenter in Rocky Mount, NC seeks an Optometric Technician (Doctor's Assistant) to support patient flow and preliminary testing under the supervision of an optometrist. The role requires strong customer service and accurate insurance verification, with a focus on delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience.

Open Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with some shift variability. Must have excellent communication skills and be willing to learn and grow within a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excitement to learn and grow.
• Favorable result on background check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Communicate with patients, doctors and managers effectively.
• Answer inquiries by phone, email and in person.
