Job summary

EyeCare Partners is a nationwide leader in clinically integrated eye care, with a network of ophthalmologists and optometrists dedicated to enhancing vision and improving lives. This Optometric Technician role supports the eye care team by performing initial testing to prepare patients for exams with an Optometrist.

The position requires at least 1 year in a patient-facing role and adherence to HIPAA and practice guidelines in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Ability to interact with patients professionally and respectfully.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
• Operate ophthalmic equipment such as manual lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field devices, and OCT
• Follow scripting for testing equipment and processes
• Maintain cleanliness of examination equipment and work area
• Interact courteously with all staff and patients at all times
• Perform general office duties as assigned by manager
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Be flexible with hours, including weekends or extended schedules if needed
