Job summary

Woodlands Eye Associates in The Woodlands, TX is seeking an Optometric Technician I to support optometrists through pre-screening tests and exams, collect patient histories, and assist with care. The role offers part-time hours Monday–Friday with no weekends, paying $18-20 per hour.

The candidate should have 1+ year in customer service, excellent communication, strong multitasking, and attention to detail. Training will be provided; growth and team support are emphasized in a caring clinic

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience (optometric or medical a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

• Support optometrists by performing pre-screening tests and assisting with exams

Pay : $18-20/hour

Part Time hours : Monday-Friday hours, NO WEEKENDS!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support optometrists by performing pre-screening tests and assisting with exams
• Collect patient medical histories and explain vision benefits clearly and confidently
• Train patients on contact lens use and care
• Verify insurance, schedule appointments, and keep communication flowing smoothly
• Help coordinate patient flow and contribute to a seamless, high-quality experience
• Collaborate with your team to meet goals and deliver exceptional care
