Job summary

SVS Vision in Michigan seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to provide clinical support for the Doctor of Optometry, improving exam efficiency and patient satisfaction. You will collaborate with the Professional Services Department to perform refraction, visual testing, and various ophthalmic procedures, contributing to a friendly, growth‑oriented work environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assists OD to improve exam efficiency and patient experience.
• Communicates with retail office management and staff.
• Prepares clinic day and maintains strong organizational skills.
• Performs refraction and case history review.
• Conducts non-contact tonometry and auto-refractor testing.
• Measures visual acuity and blood pressure.
• Operates lensometer, visual field testing, fundus photography, and OCT testing.
• Administers eye drop instillation and supports OD as needed.

The Ophthalmic Technician provides clinical support for the Doctor of Optometry (OD) to increase patient satisfaction and elevate exam efficiency. This positionreports to the Professional Services Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Assists in improving exam efficiency and elevating patient experience
