Job summary

Texas State Optical on Congress Ave in Austin, TX is hiring an Optometric Technician I to support exam prep and patient care. Pay range is $16-$18 per hour with full benefits including PTO, holidays, insurance, and 401k + match. Schedule Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Primary duties include assisting optometrists with pre-screening tests, taking patient histories, and coordinating appointments, while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience in optometric or medical setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced setting.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient information.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, patient-focused individual to join our team as an Optometric Technician I. Pay : $16-$18/hour with full benefits including PTO, paid holidays, insurance, 401k + match & so much more!

Monday - Friday hours + Saturday hours (if work Saturday would be off 1 day during the week)
