Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optometric Technician to support clinicians in providing a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will assist with initial testing, operate eye-care equipment, and help prepare patients for exams in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following HIPAA policies, and collaborating across the team to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate testing results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
• Operate and utilize ophthalmic testing equipment (lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT)
• Follow scripting for testing procedures and equipment handling
• Maintain cleanliness of examination equipment and work area
• Interact courteously with all team members and patients at all times
• Perform general office duties as assigned by the manager
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment
• Meet business needs which may include weekends or schedule changes
