Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the optometrist in delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. You will perform initial testing and operate optical equipment to prepare patients for exams.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, patient interaction, and efficient office duties. Prior ophthalmic or medical office exposure is preferred; high school diploma required. Some weekend shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Preferred ophthalmic or medical office experience.
• Background check as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
• Operate testing equipment and devices used for initial exams
• Follow scripting for testing equipment and patient testing activities
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager
• Create a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused
• Work hours may include weekends or schedule changes
