Job summary

VisionFirst Eye Care - Shelbyville is seeking a team member to enhance the patient experience by greeting patients, preparing them for exams, performing pre-tests, and ensuring a smooth visit. You will use diagnostic equipment, take medical histories, and guide patients with warmth and professionalism.

We value friendly, detail-oriented team players who stay organized under pressure. Prior optometry or medical office experience is a plus, but we provide training for the right person.

What You'll Do

You'll be a key part of our patient experience — greeting people, prepping them for exams, conducting pre-tests, and ensuring that every patient has a great experience. No two days look exactly alike. Some key job duties include:

• Use diagnostic equipment and perform preliminary testing
• Prepare patients for their eye exams by performing medical history intake
• Guide patients through their visit with warmth and professionalism
• Keep patient records accurate and up to date
• Assist with various in-office procedures that ensure organized and efficient patient flow
