Job summary

Marvel Fusion is seeking a highly capable Mechanical/ Optomechanical Engineer to design and optimize large, ultra-stable optical mounts for high-energy, ultra-short-pulse laser systems. You will collaborate with optical physicists and systems engineers to ensure stability and precision under demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing large, stable optical mounts for high-energy laser systems.
• Strong knowledge of thermo-mechanical analysis and material properties.
• Ability to translate optical requirements into mechanical and thermal specifications.
• Experience with measurements and validation of precision optical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize large optical mounts maintaining micron/sub-micron positioning under thermal loads.
• Perform modal, harmonic, and random-vibration analyses to identify resonances and predict optical stability.
• Collaborate with optical physicists and systems engineers to ensure stability of critical laser components.
• Support prototype testing and correlate FE predictions with displacement, vibration, thermal, and alignment measurements.
