Job summary

Elio is seeking an experienced optomechanical design engineer to design and own assemblies, fixtures, and enclosures, translating optical requirements into manufacturable parts. You will release parts for manufacture, support hands-on assembly, and collaborate across disciplines to refine motion systems, thermal and vibration considerations, and overall system integration.

The role demands a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience, plus 3+ years in optomechanical design,

Qualifications

• Requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least three years of optomechanical design experience.
• Fluency in parametric CAD, drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and own optomechanical assemblies, modules, fixtures, and enclosures.
• Release parts for manufacture and coordinate with manufacturers.
• Support hands-on assembly, alignment, and iterative system development.
