Job summary

Dawar Consulting in Milpitas, CA, seeks an Associate Test Engineer I - Optical/Mechanical/Opto-Mechanical for a long-term contract. The role involves setting up, aligning, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting optical systems, circuits, and mechanical assemblies on site.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3 years of progressive experience; ASEET/BSEET/BSEE are acceptable. Hands-on assembly experience and familiarity with hand tools are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School, ASEET, BSEET or BSEE and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience is required.
• Assignments are highly complex requiring initiative and problem solving.
• Assembly experience is required and hand tools experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, optical alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of optical systems, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.
• May perform rework on assemblies and/or systems due to testing.
• Assist in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions.
