Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking an Associate Test Engineer 1 to support optical assembly operations in a manufacturing environment in Milpitas, CA. The role focuses on hands-on assembly of optical and electromechanical subassemblies for precision equipment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys using basic hand tools, and can work well in a cleanroom. Optical or semiconductor experience is preferred but not required; fresh graduates with strong aptitude are welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 3–4 years of relevant assembly experience, or an Associate degree with 2+ years in technical field.
• Fresh technical graduates may be considered if they show strong mechanical aptitude.
• Hands-on assembly experience and ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble optical and electromechanical subassemblies.
• Build lens assemblies and light-source components.
• Use basic hand tools and follow established procedures.
• Follow work instructions, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Perform mechanical assembly with attention to alignment and workmanship.
• Maintain accurate production documentation.
• Communicate issues to leads and engineering staff.
• Collaborate with manufacturing team in a cleanroom.
• Learn site-specific optical assembly processes and procedures.
• Support other assembly activities as needed.
