Actalent is seeking an experienced Opto-Mechanical Structural Engineer/Analyst to support design, analysis, and production of spaceborne electro-optical payloads. You will perform structural and thermal analyses, develop FE models, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle.

The role requires DoD security clearance eligibility, strong problem-solving, and experience with Nastran-based tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural or related technical field.
• 12+ years with a Bachelor's, 10+ years with a Master's, or 7+ years with a PhD.
• Experience performing structural and thermal analyses on hardware systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural and thermal analyses using FE tools, including quasi-static, modal, random vibration, thermal stress, shock.
• Develop and validate detailed Nastran-based FE models.
• Support design, development, and qualification of spaceborne electro-optical payloads.
• Review drawings and perform tolerance analyses for manufacturability.
• Generate technical briefs and design review packages for leadership and customers.
• Support environmental testing and root-cause investigations.
