Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking an Opto-mechanical Engineer to realize precision opto-mechanical subsystems for scalable quantum hardware. You will work with physicists and engineers across the hardware lifecycle to deliver robust modules and maintain design-for-manufacturing standards.

The role requires hands-on optical alignment, lab work, and a willingness to grow in Zemax while using SolidWorks for component design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in optical engineering, mechanical engineering or physics.
• Hands-on optical alignment and lab work experience.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks for component design and basic Zemax interest.

Responsibilities

• Design opto-mechanical subsystems and identify risks and constraints.
• Develop assemblies for lasers, optics, vacuum components, sensors and EOMs.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines through the hardware lifecycle.
• Apply DFM/DAO considerations and perform root-cause investigations in lab.
• Use simulations and experiments to characterize stability, drift, and noise.
