Job summary

You will apply GD&T, perform FEM analyses, and collaborate with optical, mechanical, and electrical teams to deliver robust solutions for production and prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in opto-mechanical engineering.
• Experience with design for manufacturability and tight tolerances.
• Hands-on tooling and jig design for volume manufacturing.
• Experience with electronics packaging and liquid cooling systems.
• Fluency in GD&T and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or design the opto-mechanical solution of complex subsystems.
• Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Develop detailed component and assembly drawings meeting tight tolerances.
• Perform mechanical analyses to ensure performance under varied conditions.
• Design sub-assemblies for sub-micron alignment and stability.
• Coordinate opto-mechanical interface between optical, mechanical, and electrical subsystems.
