Job summary

SGS Consulting in Boston seeks a skilled mechanical engineer to support design and testing of high-reliability electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical systems for aerospace and DoD applications. You will work within a multidisciplinary team under a Technical Project Manager, guiding hardware from concept through fabrication and field performance evaluation, and presenting results to internal and external audiences.

Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace is mandatory.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Flexibility on years of experience with advanced degrees.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical system design and testing.
• Design, integration and testing from concept through fabrication and field evaluation.
• Collaborate with design, analysis and test teams; present status/results.
• Travel to meetings and field sites as required.
