Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering OR Aerospace.
• Master’s degree is a plus (flexibility on years of experience).
• Master’s and 3+ years relevant experience or Bachelor’s and 7+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and testing of complex mechanical, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Design, integration, and testing of hardware from conceptual design through fabrication and field performance evaluation.
• Knowledgeable in structures, mechanisms, thermal systems, optics and electronics.
• Work in close-knit teams with design, analysis and test personnel.
• Be enthusiastic, innovative and self‑starter, able to work independently or in a group.
• Communicate status/results to internal and external audiences.
• Travel to meetings and field sites may be required.
