Job summary

Corning Advanced Optics in Keene, NH, is seeking a summer engineering intern to support product design, analysis, and manufacturing of high-precision opto-mechanical systems. You will work as part of Corning Advanced Optics’ Aerospace and Defense engineering team to develop custom precision opto-mechanical systems.

Primary duties include collaborating with multi-discipline project teams to design, engineer, build, and test new products while gaining hands-on experience in a world-class precision

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology.
• Strong basic understanding of mechanical design practices and fabrication.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in opto-mechanical product development.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support product design, analysis, and manufacturing of high-precision opto-mechanical systems.
• Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop, engineer, build, and test new products.
• Collaborate with Corning Advanced Optics Aerospace and Defense engineering teams.
