MKS Instruments in Irvine, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Optics Fabrication to lead daily operations in a precision optical manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.

The role oversees grinding, polishing, metrology and related processes, reports to Senior Manufacturing Supervisor, and partners with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Maintenance to drive excellence.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing leadership experience in optics or high-precision environments.
• Experience supervising skilled, non-exempt manufacturing employees.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning and performance management.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop fabrication personnel to achieve production and quality goals.
• Drive daily production schedules balancing demand, capacity, and priorities.
• Monitor metrics and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and yield.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Support lean initiatives, EHS, and standard work in fabrication.
