Job summary

Reports to Manufacturing Manager and will operate on-site in Wilmington, MA. The position emphasizes testing, bonding, alignment, and maintaining equipment, with emphasis on quality and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications

• Post-High School degree required or equivalent.
• Experience in System Test, Quality Assurance or Assembly/ QC environments.
• 5–10 years in a low-volume, highly technical manufacturing setting.
• Experience with clean rooms, optics, analog/digital electronics, power distribution, and computers.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to read blueprints/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing to ensure performance standards are met.
• Bond optical components using alignment fixtures.
• Assemble systems with optical and mechanical components.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Read blueprints/diagrams to determine assembly methods.
• Use precision instruments to verify dimensions and test electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Adhere to test protocols and document results.
• Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
