Energetiq Technology, Inc., the high-tech division of Hamamatsu Corp., is seeking a Production Technician (Temp-to-Perm) in Wilmington, MA. This role focuses on the technical assembly of broadband Laser-Driven Light Source products and requires collaboration with engineering and scientific staff.

The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical and optical assembly, reads blueprints, uses precision measuring tools, and performs testing to verify performance.

Qualifications

• Post-High School degree, preferably an Associate or Technician.
• Several years of system testing, QA, or direct assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with QA/QC processes.
• Experience with lasers, optics, electronics.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Test products to ensure performance standards are met.
• Bond optical components using alignment fixtures.
• Assemble systems of optical and mechanical parts.
• Complete work orders and report delays/quality issues to Lead Test Engineer or manager.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to plan assembly steps.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Test electro-mechanical assemblies using instrumentation.
• Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
