Simply Eyes Optometry Inc in Tulare, CA is seeking a friendly Optical Sales Associate to help customers select, fit, and adjust eyewear, interpret prescriptions, provide expert advice, and deliver exceptional service to drive sales and satisfaction.

You will greet customers, measure pupillary distance and frame fit, explain lens options and insurance benefits, process orders, and maintain displays in a team-oriented environment.

• Anyone with a sales background is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on their prescription, lifestyle, budget, and style preferences
• Perform accurate measurements (Pupillary distance, segment height, ocular center, frame adjustments, etc.) and ensure proper fit and comfort
• Interpret and verify prescriptions from optometrists/ophthalmologists
• Recommend lens options (e.g., progressive, anti-reflective, blue-light, polarized, high-index) and explain insurance benefits clearly
• Process eyewear orders, including data entry, insurance verification/billing and ordering glasses/coordinating with labs
• Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses; provide instructions on wear, care, and maintenance
• Handle customer inquiries, returns, and follow-ups professionally
• Achieve sales goals through consultative selling and building long-term customer relationships
• Collaborate with optometrist, staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient experience
