Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and sales-oriented Optical Sales Associate to join our Optical team. In this role, you will help customers select, fit, and adjust eyewear (eyeglasses and contact lenses), interpret prescriptions, provide expert advice, and deliver exceptional customer service to drive sales and satisfaction. Anyone with a sales background is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on their prescription, lifestyle, budget, and style preferences
• Perform accurate measurements (Pupillary distance, segment height, ocular center, frame adjustments, etc.) and ensure proper fit and comfort
• Interpret and verify prescriptions from optometrists/ophthalmologists
• Recommend lens options (e.g., progressive, anti-reflective, blue-light, polarized, high-index) and explain insurance benefits clearly
• Process eyewear orders, including data entry, insurance verification/billing and ordering glasses/coordinating with labs
• Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses; provide instructions on wear, care, and maintenance
• Handle customer inquiries, returns, and follow-ups professionally
• Achieve sales goals through consultative selling and building long-term customer relationships
• Collaborate with optometrist, staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient experience
