Job summary

Thomas Eye Group PC is actively seeking an Optician to join our team in Sandy Springs, GA. You will measure, design, fit, and adapt lenses and frames based on prescriptions, while guiding patients in frame selection and ensuring a perfect fit.

You will prepare lab work orders and verify lens accuracy. You will also manage eyewear orders, perform quality checks, educate patients on care, and collaborate with providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO certification and Georgia Dispensing Optician license welcomed.
• Experience in eyeglass dispensary and final inspection with lensometer; able to adjust and repair eyewear.

Responsibilities

• Measure, design, fit, and adapt lenses and frames based on optical prescriptions.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and ensure proper eyewear fit.
• Prepare work orders for optical labs and verify accuracy of finished lenses.
• Manage eyewear orders, perform quality inspections, and maintain inventory levels.
• Educate patients on eyeglass and contact lens care; provide follow-up services including adjustments and repairs.
• Collaborate with prescribing providers and train new personnel.
