Job summary

SVS Vision, Inc. seeks an Optician in Detroit, MI to assist customers with eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing. You will prepare lab work orders, process billing, maintain inventory and support patient care in a team environment.

The position offers a base salary with a commission component and generous benefits. Prior optical dispensing experience is valued, along with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Maintain license as required by State.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing setting is preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions at a time.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient and customer service in selection, ordering and dispensing of eyewear.
• Prepare work orders for Optical Lab and process medical billing information.
• Maintain frame inventory and organize patient records.
• Explain promotions and assist with frame selections and fittings.
