Job summary

Eye Associates of New Mexico (EANM) is hiring a full-time Optician in Rio Rancho, NM. You will guide patients through lens and frame selection and help ensure smooth optical shop flow.

The role requires 1+ years of patient service in optical preferred, strong communication, ABO Certification is a plus—we’ll train if needed. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays, starting pay $16.00 per hour plus depending on skills and ABO certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of patient service in optical preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• ABO Certification a plus—we’ll train and support you if you don’t have it yet.
• A team player ready to grow in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Fit, adjust, and dispense eyeglasses.
• Educate patients on lens options and frame selection.
• Interpret prescriptions from ophthalmologists/optometrists.
• Maintain patient records and manage inventory.
