Job summary

Wolfe Family Vision Center in Humboldt, IA, part-time optician position is open to assist patients with frame selection and lens fitting. The role includes dispensing, adjusting, and repairing glasses, maintaining inventory, and coordinating with optical laboratories.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong patient service, professional appearance, and excellent communication. Optical experience is preferred but training will be provided. EOE.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame selection.
• Fit and order appropriate spectacle lens materials.
• Dispense, adjust, and repair glasses for patients.
• Maintain frame inventory and organization of optical area.
• Communicate with optical laboratories regarding orders.
• Check completed orders for accuracy.
• Maintain optical supplies and cleanliness of laboratory.
• Answer phones and file vision insurance claims.
• Schedule appointments; enter charges and collect payments.
