Job summary

Hillsboro Vision Clinic in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking an optician to join a four-doctor practice focused on patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, input orders into the EHR, and ensure proper fitting and quality checks after lab work. The role is full-time with shift flexibility.

Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include 401(k), health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and year-end bonus pay.

Qualifications

Hillsboro Vision Clinic is a bustling four doctor Optometric practice looking for a new team member who will specialize in the optical setting!

We are looking for a caring individual who is personable, patient, reliable, willing to learn, flexible and works well with fellow team members. The ability to speak Spanish is desirable but not necessary. Experience would be fantastic, but we are also willing to train the right individual for the skills necessary to succeed in this position. What we can’t train is personality! This is not a sales driven position; we don’t work off of commission. We are patient focused and it’s of utmost importance that we are giving our patients the best care possible.

As an optician, you will be working face to face with patients while selecting frames, lenses and lens options and following it up with inputting jobs into our EHR system. You will be fitting the glasses appropriately to patients when they’ve returned from the lab and are ready for dispense after they’ve been checked for accuracy and quality!

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: starting at $18.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience.
