Job summary

Valley Eye Care in Corvallis, OR is seeking a full-time Optician to deliver outstanding customer service and help patients find frames and lenses tailored to their needs.

No experience? No problem — we’ll nurture your talent. Starting wage is $18.00/hour for newcomers, with $20.00+/hour for experienced opticians, plus an outstanding benefits package including medical, vision, dental, a 401(k) with 4% match, generous PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in optometry or medical field is a plus.
• Prior experience in customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Match the perfect frames and lenses to our patients’ needs.
• Evaluate prescriptions.
• Master optometric tools to ensure proper fittings.
• Sell a range of eye accessories with flair.
• Be the liaison between our clients and physicians.
• Troubleshoot issues as well as make adjustments and repairs to patients’ glasses.

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Starting wage based upon experience level:

  • $18.00 per hour for non-experienced with room for advancement for those eager to grow and learn.

  • $20.00+ per hour for experienced opticians.
