Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Aurora, CO is seeking an Optician to join our pediatric vision team. This at-will position reports to the Assistant Operations Manager and focuses on helping families select eyeglasses and ensuring proper frame fits.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric patients and families in selecting eyeglass frames.

• Educate patients on frame options and coatings.
• Assist with frame repairs and troubleshooting.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable for patients.
• Participate in other duties supporting the mission of providing high-quality vision services.

Position Overview

Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Aurora, CO in LOCATION currently seeking an Optician to join our pediatric vision business. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Manager. This position will be at‑will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist our pediatric patients and families in selecting eyeglass frames that match their prescription
• Confirm proper frame fits and adjustments
• Work with glasses and contact orders and quotes
• Educate patients and families on frame options and coatings
• Help with frame repairs and troubleshooting
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• At least one year of previous experience as an optician
• ABO certification a plus
• Experience and interest in working with children
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
